Welcome! My name is Matt Bergman, and I am an educator, author, workshop presenter, and keynote speaker from South Central PA.
My specialties include:
|
I began my educational journey in 2003, quickly learning the art of serving as a middle school teacher in a rural school district in PA. I learned the art of maintaining a sense of humor and supporting kids through positive relationships.
In 2006, I transitioned into a high school role in a suburban school district in PA. During my time in this district, I grew as an educational leader and served students and teachers in many different capacities. My time in this district was valuable to my growth and development as an educator! |
2010 was a life-changing year for me. My role in my suburban school district came to an end (due to budget cuts); however, I was fortunate enough to find a position as a high school teacher at one of the largest private residential schools in the nation. 100% of students within the organization come from economically disadvantaged homes from all over the nation. My time in this organization has broadened my understanding of teaching students living in poverty, literacy strategies, and building positive relationships.
